Bozeman Kiwanis club member, Mary Brydich, was honored by Hope & The Holidays for all her hard work and dedication to the organization.
When you talk about the heart, history and soul of Hope & The Holidays, Mary Brydich is a name attritubed to a lot of the work.
Mary’s story with Hope & the Holidays began in 2010 when the Lions Club reached out for help. The Toys for Tots Program had grown too large for the Marines, American Legion and Lions to manage alone. Mary was invited to join the effort—and she didn’t just accept the challenge, she expanded it. She brought in every Kiwanis Club in the area, helping Kiwanis become a founding member of what would soon become a new chapter in community giving.
In 2011, when the Marines stepped away from the Toys for Tots Program, Mary helped launch Hope & the Holidays. She became its Charter President, drafted the bylaws and Articles of Organization and submitted the paperwork for our 501(c)(3) status – which was approved on the first try. That’s not just impressive – it’s foundational. It’s the reason we exist today.
Mary has served on the board for 14 out of the past 15 years, including multiple terms as President. She’s been a driving force behind our golf tournament, our distribution efforts and so may other projects that have brought joy and relief to families across the Gallatin Valley. Even when health challenges made it hard to be physically present, Mary never stopped giving. She simply shifted her focus, continuing to serve with the same passion and precision – just behind the scenes.
Her leadership has touched thousands of lives, and her legacy will continue to guide us for years to come. Mary has helped bring holiday joy to thousands of children and families across Montana. Her unwavering commitment has turned generosity into lasting impact, making the season brighter for those who need it most.
Thank you Mary for a truly monumental legacy. Your vision, your heart, and your unwavering commitment have helped make this organization – and this community -- better.
